Will It Be Worth It?

Skipped 3 days of classes as the UNiM gang was here. They were in USA for the Work N Travel program thingy for the past few months. They stopped by in Hong Kong before going back to Malaysia.

3 days worth of adventure makan-ing. 67 plates of dim sum. More than 50 hours of non-stop hearty laughing, more than I’ve ever gotten the past year being in HK.

I miss them all over again.

Saw them off at the airport. I was so not going to cry but that Jieqiang kept going like ‘don’t cry ar don’t cry ar’. I still did not until I was in the bus going back and with the little ‘encouragement’ from emo songs of my ipod Nano, I realized I’d be alone again and I finally teared.

Damn. I had to quickly switch to some rock and keep my head at 90 degrees towards the windows to let the moist dry.

I wonder whether leaving UNiM for HKU was worth it or whether it’ll be. Sigh.

Metamorphosis?

I think I’ve changed a lot and still am in the process of it. From caring too much about what other people think of me to being able to not give a crap, from Avril Lavigne pop to U2, Stereophonics, Pink Floyd etc. (thanks to Music 101 guru Daphne :p) . For better or for worse, I am not too sure but I feel much happier now. Bwahahahahaha!

This Week’s Boring Update.

MONDAY: Guitar lesson as usual, ah but this day had a little extra kick to it. I took the Vios and drove myself (ALONE KAY!) to class. I didn’t bang into anything nor had any near death experiences while I was on the road (thanks to boss’s ‘remember to look out for stationary objects’ reminder wor.. Lol).

I never knew driving alone was that much fun! XD I wish I could do it more but mum is sorta paranoid, as in psychotic rapist lurking within the parking bays, bad people with big parangs who knock into me intentionally and wait for me to get down from the car and drive it away etc. Sigh. Sometimes I wonder if I should really live my life in fear. I don’t know. I like doing stuff alone, walking alone, taking public transportation alone. Everyone always tells me that its dangerous but I guess I’m the kind who’d never learn till I really come face to face with the devil himself. *shrugs*

Anyways, I seriously do wipe my guitar every time after playing! T.T I swear. To my teacher: You wouldn’t believe how I’m wiping it now after you ‘accused’ me of not wiping it even after you told me to. =P I even wipe underneath the strings! And each strings separately too. Wipe many many times! Sigh. Bloody sweaty palms of mine. Salt in my sweat reacts with the phosphorus bronze strings and results in some oxidization or whatever! Chemistry eeyuck!

TUESDAY: Hmm. What did I do on Tuesday? OH! Went to Bukit Bintang with Janet and Fishy after Janet passed her driving test! And we watched ‘Transformers’ again (Fishy and I)! Sigh. This crowd was kinda sad. I think it was only Fishy and I laughing like mad at every single thing remotely funny. =P But the movie was still great all the same.

WEDNESDAY: Went to Mid Valley with mum for grocery shopping and I, khaki pants. I haven’t been wearing khakis since like Form 2 and from then on was jeans all the way. Went to Miss Selfridge and saw a grey one but didn’t bring my member card thingy so I decided to get it another day.

TL Hot Wind t. Bought this for 20 bucks! This was on half price. It was under the ‘no trying’ rack but the nice shop assistant was lenient.

TL army green khakis. There’s these two strings beneath each side of the pockets and they looked stupid when tied up in a ribbon or just left dangling so I just stuffed it inside the pockets. Hope they don’t pop out after walking for some time. =P

Radioactive 2 for RM 30 tees! I know they are the same pattern but cheap mar. =P

Oh oh! This one was on half price too! Cost me RM45 bucks.

Bloody! Am I getting fat! I had to get either L or size 10 for me to feel more comfortable in those pants (I was a size 8 during CNY.) Noooooooooooooo! I need to stop snacking every night! Make my big fat arse a bit smaller!

Oh and after I came back? I kicked myself on the right foot with my left foot (with shoes still on!). I was like ouch and thought I felt something like my toenail being lifted off or something. But it seemed fine until 5 seconds later a little blood came oozing out onto my socks. =P

Lol! It doesn’t look very serious but you can see the dent marks (and caked blood on the sides. Hope you puke your food out!). Cool! XD

This is my closes encounter to ever having my nails ripped off. I so can’t play basketball now looking at the length of my nails. I never really knew how dangerous it was up till now. =P But I need nails for guitar wor. Guitar, basketball, guitar, basketball. Yang mana? I want both! Bah.

THURSDAY: Hmmm. Think I stayed at home all day coz the renovation people continued their job as the supplies had arrived.

This was how my house looked last week. It’s much messier now.

FRIDAY: Went to Mid Valley (yes, again) for dinner and grocery shopping (since we’re there already, get that grey pants as well).

THANK GOD I DIDN’T BRING MY MEMBER CARD ON TUESDAY COZ YESTERDAY THEY WERE ON SALE AND THAT GREY PANTS WAS ON THAT 50% off RACK! XD *hallelujah* But there was no more size 10 and only size 8 left. It is a very obvious sign from whoever is watching over me to DIET! I bought it anyways. Motivation to cut down my food intake. BWAHAHAHAHAHA! I wish!

Really nice light and comfy t shirts and it’s RM25.90 each only (well, considering the fact its from Zara.)

TODAY (SATURDAY): Going to have a dinner buffet with my relatives of my mum’s side (get to kacau Ian again! XD).

So basically this whole week consisted of shopping sprees and pigging out. How uneventful (no, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is not an exciting event at all. *yawns*). Mid Valley AGAIN tomorrow to see Master Fishy do her stuff at the US education fair thingy!

I Can’t Wait For The Sequel!

Finally got to watch ‘Transformers’ today!

I was so hyped when Meng Jian (who is back from Taiwan) messaged me on MSN to meet up at Mid Valley and WATCH TRANSFORMERS’! Oh yea! I even had to text Daniel to see whether I could have class start half an hour later coz’ Wey Chii couldn’t make it in time for the 1.30pm show and the show was 2 hours and 21 minutes long (wait! what long! SHORT!).

Went at 12pm to get the tickets first. The bigger box was already sorta full, only 4 rows from the front left to choose our seats from. Luckily, there was a second box and managed to get our 4 seats in the 2nd last row. Seriously, what is wrong with our Malaysian population! Don’t those adults have to work? And teens go to school or young adults to uni? I mean, I know that there’s people on holiday but this is just outrageous! Cinema having long queues almost every single day! Very very weird I tell you!

We had pizza for lunch at Pizza Hut (duh. ).

Was a bit late coz the show had already started when we went in. The show was just so freaking awesome and hilarious! And I was lucky enough to watch it with a crowd that know how to appreciate good humour (pity you Jingy, laughing by yourself, you should have watched with me today, then you could have laughed to your heart’s content). This crowd was quite horny too coz they all laughed extremely longer and louder at the part where Ratchet was introducing himself to Sam about the mating part. Lmao!

Man. Robots never looked that good. Even the bad ones! Decepticons! Wait, I think usually the bad ones look nicer. Lol. Wish there was even more action from Optimus Prime though coz he’s the one I really remember (played too much with bro’s toy of him, the one which you can change him into a truck and back into a robot again which is way cool! wonder where the toy is now. saw them selling it at Toycity and it costs like a few hundred bucks man!).

The show should have been longer! This is definitely one of the best movies of the year, beating the hell out of POTC3 and Spiderman3! And I could have enjoyed it even more if I didn’t have to keep looking at the time (4.30pm guitar class). The show ended at 4.28pm and I couldn’t even stay for the after credits scenes.

Sprinted all the way to the toilet to spit out the horrible chewing gum I had in my mouth the whole movie which had turned to mush (never eat Extra’s chewing gum with Smints at the same time, it turns the gum into yucky gooey I-donno-what-to-call-it-other-than-mush. ew.). Walked terribly fast until I was sorta out of breath (I am so unfit. bla.) and when I reached the music centre, my teacher wasn’t even there yet! Aiyo! Should have finished watching first. Shucks.

Anyways! I was on a ‘Transformers’ high that I told my teacher ‘TRANSFORMERSSSSSSSS!’ and nodded my head FURIOUSLY like a little kid when he asked me what show I watched and whether it was good (usually our conversations basically consists of him talking and me answering in one syllable, usually ‘oh’s,’mm’s, ‘no’s, and ‘yes’s, or worse just staring at him blankly. Lol!). I could have went on a full throttle babble on how good the movie was if only I could make myself open my mouth more.

Yes, like everyone who has watched it says, I am sooooooooo going to watch it again and a few times more and a GAZILLION TIMES MORE IF I HAD THAT MUCH TIME LEFT IN THIS LIFE OF MINE!

I Think I Might Be A Shopaholic.

Especially when it comes to gadgets, not so much clothes. Went on a shopping spree at Low Yat today with Boss. Our main purpose was to get a cooling pad, and me a new wireless+modem+router because the one I HAD was terminally ill. The wireless thingy was cacated and always went berserked starting from 9pm till next morning like it was haunted or something. And sometimes, I even had to call the internet line to make the adsl light stop blinking and connect! I have NO IDEA WHY but it just works. Reason for getting a cooling pad was because my lappie would heat up really badly after a while (can boil egg!) and even putting my old Samsung phone underneath it to tilt it up didn’t work.

Went to search around for my modem router first. Gor Gor asked me to look for Linksys’s WAG200G which the cheapest price was RM238, if not Dlink’s DSL-2640T which was cheaper. Now Boss’s knows what kind of a shopper I am. I am really really shy, my brother says so. I usually wait for people make eye contact with me and ask me what I want and dare not say ‘excuse me’ or whatever out loud to get their attention. Anyways, at the first shop, somehow each and everyone of the shop’s people didn’t take the initiative to ask me if I needed anything and I just stood there like a stooch. Sigh. I suck. Anyways, started to ask around for Dlink’s price and it was shocking!

Mostly every store I went to said the best price was RM230 or RM225, around there, but then two stores, gave me RM200! WTH! So friggin much difference! Boss even suggested maybe they stole it or something. But I still bought it at Rm199 in the end with a Mini Ver.2 Multi-slot Card Reader , total cost was Rm230. Sigh. Okay lar I guess.

I really like the card reader! Specs: High speed USB 2.0, accesses all different cards without any adapters (except for T-flash)! AND it looks really good! XD

After getting the two, went hunting for the cooling pad. Went to Sri Computer. There was this Malay hippie-yo! looking dude who was freakin’ stingy! Only reduced the price by 5 bucks! I was sure that he was ripping us off. Argh! Luckily Boss saw the one he wanted to buy at a lower price at another location of the shop which was much more secluded but still the same company. The skinny Malay guy gave more discount, not much lar but at least still 10 bucks! At least I don’t feel ripped off that much. I HATE THAT HIPPO! Grrrr!

Had lunch after buying all those stuff at Causeway Bay. I had Beef Brisket Noodles, French Toast and Cold Yin Yong. MY APPETITE HAS RETURNED! Oh my beloved food! I missed you so SO MUCH! I’ll start training to get my bottomless pit back again! There goes the weight I loss!

Then we hurriedly went to Sg. Wang to get our guitar stuff. I wanted to get picks. And guess who I saw there! The guy who used to work in Mid Valley’s Rhapsody! Another guy (who was very boyishly cute! LOL!) was telling me that if I did more strumming I should be getting a softer pick. But then I was like ‘But hor! Daniel wants me to use a hard pick! Why har?!?!?’ Then, ex-Rhapsody guy told me that maybe because Daniel (as in my hot guitar teacher, I seriously hope he won’t by any chance stumble upon this or I’d be dead! ) is a LEAD GUITARIST and wanted me to do more plucking or something. WTF! OMG! That’s soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo friggin cool man! Fuyoh! I’m am so going to practice harder, play properly and learn more from him this coming Monday! Must get all my money’s worth before I leave for HK! LEAD GUITARIST! OH MAN! XD

When I got home, I felt really happy and satisfied! Hands all full with these stuff! I just get really high when I get new techy gadgets! Like the new 120Gb external hard disk with a really really nice sleek casing that I got for my birthday! Thanks guys!

Aiming to get:

• a new webcam
• (maybe) Ipod Nano (I WANT A WHITE ONE! How come now only got silver,black and yucky colours?!?!? Whatever happened to WHITE?!?!? Noooooooooo! I hate the 2nd generation ones. Ugh.)
• a 1 Gb DDR Ram for the desktop in the living room (it simply CANNOT SURVIVE on 1.25 Gb with Vista installed in it!)
• a 4 port USB hub

during August’s PC Fair before I leave for HKU. Thought of getting a PDA phone, but then maybe there’s those contract thingies in HK too! Free phone! Muahahhahahaha!

A Visit Back To UNiM.

WARNING: Extremely LONG post. You guys don’t have to read this post because basically I’m recording this down so I would never ever forget this day.

This gang of friends I made in the University Nottingham in Malaysia is definitely making me regret my withdrawal from UNiM. I love them all!

Today classes was supposed to end at 1pm for them and so they said I could come kacau them at the BBQ last Saturday. Took the KTM train (Seremban line) from KL Sentral to Kajang station. Then, they came all the way from Semenyih to pick me up and drove all the way back to Broga for my (okay lar, EVERYONE’s) favourite Pan Mee! XD Jake, Vince and Jen Haw had already finished eating but waited for me to arrive and Chaw Yee and Khong waited for me to arrive to eat together.

Dry Pan Mee, Thick Noodles, Small, Add Egg. My usual order, topping it off with the usual ABC. Pan Mee was delicious as usual but ABC too little syrup. Uncle with a coin in his ear, NEXT TIME I WANT MORE SYRUP! XD Even the uncle and auntie at the stall were very friendly today and joined in while we were looking at the BBQ photos Jake was transferring from my new Western Digital external hard disk (birthday present from the TARC gang! =) ) to his laptop. Oh oh! And after eating! I even got to drive Jian Wen’s car back to the halls (which I drove in the beginning without releasing the handbrake! *FAINTS* And the whole time I was wondering why the car’s pick up was so damn slow! *DOUBLE FAINTS*)!

Went to Jian Wen’s room where we all dumped our bags there and then visited Jie Qiang’s new room (which later we found out might be termite infested cause of all the white ants on his table tennis bag). He has a piano in his room! Grabbed the Green Box photos from him, hanged out for a while and headed back to Jian Wen’s room to grab movies, more photos, computer games and copy Prison Break Season 1 of his laptop.

After we finished, we headed to the sports complex for….. TABLE TENNIS aka. PING PONG!! XD Played for quite a while from 3 something till 6 something in the evening! XD I was in jeans and t-shirt but thank god the table tennis room was air-conditioned! Bwahahhahahaha! Had lots of fun. Except for the part where…… Dr. Ng (my ex-tutor) passed by! According to Huey Jing, he was walking past by but suddenly braked and gostan-ed as he spotted me. (I withdrew w/o informing him *a lil guilty*). While I saw sitting and resting on the floor with Chaw Yee, I was chanting softly ‘Please don’t come near me… please don’t come near me… please don’t come near me…’ But in the end he still did. The usual questions and my usual one word answer ended the conversation as quickly as it started. Bwahahahhahaa. I sure hope my results don’t pass through his hands.

Later we met up again with Jake, Vince and Jen Haw (whom I think was at the library doing some work or something) for a little crazy basket-balling and taking pictures of the various spots around the campus. Jake was extremely hyper today, taking loads of narcissistic shots (maybe it has something to do with him being appointed as the new class rep. BWAHAHHAHAHAHA! XD)! Took photos at the bball court, SA, telephone booth, lake, front and back of the administration building etc.

It was already 7 something. I promised my mum to be back by 8 or 9. So I kept chasing them to quickly go back to their room, take their shower and head to Kajang for satay and drop me off at the KTM station before I miss my train. By the time we found the place to eat, it was already close to 9pm! Oh well, . 6 of us ordered 45 ayam, 40 ikan, forgot how many rusa, how many arnabs and 3 lembu. Deer satay was DELICIOUS! Absolutely! Juicy! Rabbit was good too, however I kept thinking of that Rabbit ‘FUNland’ in Broga and imagining which tender part of the poor rabbit’s body I was eating… the thigh maybe?

He can make anything look like it tastes good. (For the record, the drinks at this place really sucked, BIG TIME!)

By the time we finished eating and reached the KTM station, it was already 10 something. There was a train there when we reached. I SPRINTED ACROSS! As I reached out for my Touch N Go card, the train passed me by. Too late. T.T And the next train was going to come at 11.23pm which would be the last train. I had to wait at least for an hour because there was a train from Singapore coming up. Jian Wen, Xiong Gong Gong aka. Mr. Way-Too-Nice-Guy offered to send me home. HOME HOME! All the way from Kajang back to Seputeh. *TOUCHED* But I knew my mum would rather me wait there because she didn’t want to waste their time coming back and forth. Somehow, He who has The Magic Tongue managed to convince my mum that it wasn’t a problem at all to send me back. *SUPER TOUCHED* In the end, Jian Wen, Chaw Yee, Huey Jing and Jie Qiang altogether teman-ed me back home.

When I reached home, they all got down from the car to ‘tackle’ my parents. With all their sweet sweet tongues, they managed to leave with my parents being all happy and grateful to them instead of scolding me like hell for disturbing and troubling them. According to Jingle, the poor driver had ticks all over him from rubbing Max all over. Kesian. LOL!

As they were getting into their car and leaving, I got all teary-eyed and was really really happy. I don’t really know what came over me. But finally I realized that these are the people which make me happy all the time. Therefore, I’ve decided to be happy (meaning getting my appetite back ), emulate the happy-go-lucky attitude of them. Why do I want to make myself feel miserable because people who do not give a crap about me treat me like…. crap!

That’s just stupid, right?

I do not have anymore time and will not waste my time on people who I used to think cared that obviously do not care anymore now.
